A hybrid company combining engineering with communication

Who are we A hybrid between an engineering consultancy and a specialist communications agency, Synergence brings you the complementary viewpoints and skills you need to manage your transformations towards sustainable development successfully.
Our multi-disciplinary teams (engineers, specialists in the human sciences, professionals in communication, the environment and social issues) are committed to focusing on both strategic and operational aspects (see the "Our business" section).
Whatever their initial background, Synergence project managers all incorporate the fundamentals of the complementary culture, strategy or communication.
This means we can offer the technical skills to carry out a carbon assessment, a product life cycle analysis, legal monitoring or a public policy evaluation, but also to provide a consultation, an information campaign, an information system, a networked system for managing an institution, a remote learning system etc.

We work
in project groups
Our teams are organised into Project units (Environment, Society, Governance, International) and Resources units (Network Management and Learning Systems, Creation, Information Systems and Production). Whenever a project manager undertakes a new project on behalf of a client, he or she chooses a team according to the skills required, the workload of the people involved and their affinity with the subject.
Everyone is responsible for their own
working time
Going beyond the agreements on cutting working hours, the agency's philosophy is to allow everyone to manage their own time independently according to their workload. A system based on trust, which requires everyone to keep their colleagues informed of their availability and how they can be contacted.

We work at several sites...but for the same agency

No-one is truly located at any one site – our staff are free to live and work where they want. We take part in missions on the basis of what we can bring to them, rather than where we are. Whether we are working in Paris, Dijon or Lyon, or even at home, our information system, based on the principle of shared, available information, means we can work on-line and optimise our time management, enabling us to achieve the best balance between our professional lives and our personal projects.
Our roots in Dijon have not prevented the national and international development of Synergence – on the contrary, it has fed this development with a sensitivity to local issues.
By adjusting our interdependence in this way, we try every day to invent the best mode of operation to suit the achievement of our missions and everyone taking part in them.
